FAQ
Is the car finance based on a credit score?
No, all our cases are looked at on an individual basis by real people!
Will you accept me if I have CCJ's?
Yes, that is not a problem, no one has been turned down because they have CCJ's.
I am bankrupt, can I have finance?
Yes, we can provide finance for current bankrupts.
Will I need a deposit?
Yes, in all cases except secured loans you will need a deposit.
How much deposit will I need?
If you have a vehicle from out stock specials, the deposit is from only 3 months payments in advance.
Can I have a car on lease?
Yes, we are more than happy to lease (contract hire) any vehicle.
Can I trust Big Blue with my personal information?
Yes of course. We take great care in handling information and to that end everything is held on file in the same kind of security that banks hold theirs. We NEVER share it with anyone. It is an expensive process but we try and treat you as we would wish to be treated.
Is there a limit on what car I can borrow?
No, as long as you can afford it!
Will I have to prove income?
In most cases yes. All lenders have to ensure responsible lending. Saying that because we do not credit score we look at all types of income and all ways of proving that income. Private hire applications for example, have a unique application process because they do take a lot of cash. Please feel free to ask if you are concerned about this issue.
When will I make my first payment?
You will make you first payment a about a month after the agreement starts, but will will let you know this date.
Is the car secured on my home?
No, the lend is secured on the car. Unless we are talking about a home loan of course!
What is your interest rate?
Our interest rates for cars start at about 10% flat for non-status finance. It does vary depending on the car, the loan rate and your circumstances. Each quote will generally be different, please ask for details.
Why is your rate higher than say Mercedes?
There are many reasons for this, firstly many car makers discount the rate to sell cars, we cannot do this. Secondly, non-status is a high risk business, therefore costs a lot more to administer, as with all non-status products you will pay a premium to gain the credit.
Are there any other charges that I must pay because it's a non-status loan?
No, we do not charge any fee's or charge you anything extra for non-status. The only fee you pay is a document fee, but this is standard practice from all lenders, such as GE Money, Black Horse etc.
Can I end my contract early?
Yes, of course you can. Just ask for a settlement figure at anytime during the contract. We cannot give quotes for this prior to starting the contract.
Is there a charge for ending early?
Yes and No! The settlement figure is calculated by a set formula, which is operated by all finance companies in the UK. and is set by the regulatory body. You will not have any extra fee's because it's non status however.
What would this be if I borrowed £20,000?
Sorry, but the formula is a bit on the complicated side, we would need to know how long you had the car, what kind of agreement it was etc. So sorry we cannot calculated this in simple terms. However, all these early settlement terms will be in your contract, so please read it carefully.
If I cannot make the payments, what should I do?
Easy, call us. Don't wait and ignore the postie! We can normally help a lot more if you speak to us, we are really nice, honest! If you come to us with a problem it is looked at with much better eyes than if we have to chase you.
